Sugar workers will get 8% increase – VP Jagdeo
The country’s sugar workers will get an 8% increase in salaries and wages, Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo announced on Friday.
The Vice President said the decision was made by the Cabinet on Thursday.
President Irfaan Ali previously announced an 8% salary increase for public servants and subsequently announced major salary adjustments for members of the Joint Services.
