Sinclair (74 & 4-54) spurs Imlach XI to massive win over Motie XI

Kevin Sinclair was outstanding with bat and ball on Friday, leading Tevin Imlach XI to a massive 143-run victory over Gudakesh Motie XI in the Guyana Harpy Eagles second practice game at the National Stadium, Providence.
Victory was secured with a day to spare, largely due to a supreme all-round effort from Berbician Sinclair.
The right-hander first struck a belligerent half-century and then followed up with four wickets in a dominant display.
Sinclair struck nine fours and three sixes in a topscore of 74 off 88 balls as Tevin Imlach XI, resuming on 167-4, were dismissed for 300. Sinclair’s fifty was the third of the innings, behind Tevin Imlach (65) and Chandrapaul Hemraj (60).
Bowling Gudakesh Motie XI, off-spinner Richie Looknauth took 4-87 and Gudakesh Motie 2-33.
Set a target of 311, Gudakesh Motie XI were dismissed for 167 with Sinclair taking 4-54 and left-arm spinner Antony Adams 4-25.
Anthony Bramble made 55 off 44 (6x4s, 4x6s) and opener Rampertab Ramnauth 35 off 41 (6x4s).
Final scores:Tevin Imlach XI 226 and 300; Gudakesh Motie XI 216 and 167.

Following the match, the Guyana Cricket Board selection panel announced the 13-man Guyana Harpy Eagles squad and list of reserves for the first two rounds of the Cricket West Indies Four-Day Championship next month.
The Guyana Harpy Eagles squad reads: Leon Johnson (Captain), Veerasammy Permaul (Vice Captain), Chandrapaul Hemraj, Matthew Nandu, Kemol Savory, Tevin Imlach, Anthony Bramble, Kevin Sinclair, Nial Smith, Ronsford Beaton, Akshaya Persaud, Ashmead Nedd and Shamar Joseph.
The reserves are Mavindra Dindyal, Kevlon Anderson, Demitri Cameron, Richie Looknauth and Antony Adams.
The Manager is Albert Clements, Head Coach Ryan Hercules, Assistant Coach Garvin Nedd, Cricket Analyst Keshava Ramphal and Physiotherapist Angelica Holder.
The Guyana Harpy Eagles will play Barbados Pride at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua from February 1-4, and the Windward Islands Volcanoes at the National Stadium in Grenada from February 8-11.
