Man, 19, charged for armed robbery
Mwange Smith, a 19-year-old unemployed youth of ‘B’ Field Sophia, Georgetown, was arrested on Sunday last and charged on Wednesday by ranks of the Beterverwagting Police Station with two counts of Robbery Under Arms.
Smith appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Alisha George, where the charges were read to him.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges and was later placed on $150,000 bail.
The matter was adjourned to November 15 for report and fixture.
