Two die after collision with GDF boat in Moruca River
Two persons are reported dead after a passenger boat and a Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Coast Guard vessel collided in the Moruca River, Region One (Barima-Waini) Friday morning.
One of the dead men was identified as Adrian Thomas, a resident of Kumaka Road, Santa Rosa Village.
The identity of the other victim is yet to be determined.
The News Room understands that the accident occurred during the wee hours of Friday.
A team of police ranks were deployed to the scene to investigate the incident.
