The Cue Sports Association (Guyana) Inc. is set to host the National Team Championships from July 26 to August 18 at various venues across the country.

Executives of the Association are urging teams to register early, in order to facilitate a captains’ meeting on July 18 to outline details of the tournament and conduct the draw.

Importantly, only a certain number of teams will be allowed to play, and the deadline for registration is July 18.

Teams must comprise a maximum of seven players, five of whom will be playing per match. It will be an eight-ball tournament conducted under the WPA International Rules (Ball in hand), the Association said.

The entrance fee per team is G$30,000 and can be paid to the Cue Sports Association via MMG.

More information on the tournament can be had via WhatsApp +592-640-2222.

The champion team will pocket G$700,000, second G$500,000 and third and fourth G$300,000 each. The cash prizes will be accompanied by trophies.

The tournament will be held at Sunil and Son Pool Bar (Mahaica), Butchers Chill Spot (Sheriff Street), Suraj Sports Bar (Meten-Meer-Zorg) and Jason Pool Bar (South).

Ivanoff Vodka is the main sponsor, with Toucan Distributors, GTT, Farfan and Mendes, Websource Guyana, American Construction, KBS Electrical, Premier Innovations Guyana, Auto Fashion and Coss Cutter also lending support.
