Bandit shot dead during robbery at New Amsterdam
A man was shot dead after allegedly robbing a jewellery store at New Amsterdam, Region Six (East Berbice- Corentyne) on Monday.
The News Room understands that the man, who has not yet been identified, injured a customer at the establishment during the robbery.
The business owner ran after the bandit, chasing him through a nearby street, and shot him.
The robber reportedly collapsed and succumbed to his injuries.
