Cuban man jailed after wounding woman
Yismel Garcia Acuana, a 28-year-old Cuban national residing in Mahdia, Region Eight, was sentenced to four months imprisonment after he wounded a woman.
Police Headquarters reported that the man was arrested earlier in March and charged with felonious wounding. Daimara Calzadella was the woman wounded.
Acuna appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse, where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plead. The prosecution then made an application for summary disposal, which the court granted.
The charge was later re-read to the accused who pleaded guilty and he was sentenced to four months imprisonment.
