Toddler boy drowns in trench on Essequibo Coast
Police have launched an investigation after a one-year-old boy was discovered dead in a trench at Queenstown, Essequibo Coast, on Monday.
The toddler, identified as Deon Dwarkar, was at home with relatives when he was later found unresponsive in a trench located south of the residence. He was taken to the Lima Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives examined the body, which bore no visible marks of violence. Investigations are continuing.
