GPHC is now equipped to deliver ECT, a proven treatment for disorders such as major depressive episodes, schizophrenia, and catatonia, to patients who have not responded to conventional therapies.

Devon Grant was sentenced to twelve months in jail and fined $30,000 after he pleaded guilty to the possession of 164 grammes of ecstasy for the purpose of trafficking. Grant along with his co-accused, Lily Wills, made their appearance before Magistrate Gibbs at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court last Tuesday.

The Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) in a statement said Wills pleaded not guilty and was granted $100,000 bail.

Grant and Wills were intercepted in a motor vehicle on December 3, 2025, in the vicinity of Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed ziploc bags containing a quantity of ecstasy.
