Businessman, 59, charged for wounding man
Harry Baptiste, a 59-year-old businessman of Laluni Street, Queenstown, Georgetown, was charged on Thursday for wounding with intent.
According to Police Headquarters, Baptiste wounded Friendship, East Bank Demerara, businessman Noah Yashuran, 67, on February 5, 2023.
Baptiste appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Diamond/ Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The charge was read to him and he pleaded not guilty. He was granted $40,000 bail.
The matter was adjourned to May 22.
